October 17th will see both the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market and the Fernandina Beach Arts Market open on North Seventh Street, between Alachua and Centre Streets in historic downtown. The cooler weather of the fall has us welcoming back our seasonal vendors to the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market and you can help us welcome back Steephill Design and their authentic Vermont maple syrup. They are continuing their bottle return program and bicycle delivery of market orders placed person to person. Pre-orders are encouraged at steephillmaple@gmail.com to allow individual packaging.
“The World’s Best Guacamole” has returned from Miami and the novelty of watching this fresh partner to the tortilla chip being made at the market is a must see, especially for the kids. Also back this week is Bark N Bake and their popular dog treats, holiday specialties, and chicken feet.
The Arts Market is alive with jewelers, painters, hand crafted knives, meet the Authors and book signings, apparel, and so much more. There is no better time to start shopping local for the holidays than Saturday mornings in the open air.
Both markets are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and your well-behaved leashed pets are welcome, too. Please remember to social distance and if you are feeling ill, please wait until next Saturday to venture out. Music is being performed by Alix and Eden and the Amelia Island Tree Conservancy in our Booth with a Cause. For more information, find either market on Facebook.
