Located on North Seventh Street, between Alachua and Centre Streets, in historic Fernandina Beach, Florida, you will find the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market. A true farmers market with seasonal produce, fresh baked breads, local honey and so much more. The farmers market is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine. We are open every Saturday of the year.

We are grateful to our customers who come to the market to support our local small businesses. It is with your support our vendors can continue to bring healthy options for your dinner table and home. This week you will see the return of our gluten-free vendor, Something Good. Me, Myself and Pies is returning to the farmers market, our soy candle vendor has returned to the farmers market, and our dog treat vendor will be back on Saturday, too. We are happy to announce that JD Beef has added farm fresh natural whole chicken to their menu. They don’t bring many, so arrive early to try one of these delicious birds. If you need an additional reason to get up early and head to the farmers market, Eddie with Chesser Seafood, continues to bring wild, local shrimp, and he sells out every Saturday. Other food vendors include Gana Pecans, Joy of Garlic’s dressings, sauces, and dips, and fresh garlic from Carter’s Family Homestead. You will also find face masks, body salves, natural insect repellent, and goat milk soaps.

The farmers market has made several changes to keep up with the challenge of local and CDC guidelines for shopping during a pandemic. It is important to us that you know our owners have required all of our vendors to wear a face covering when dealing with our customers. There are hand sanitizer stations located at the north and south entrances to the Market Place. Traffic cones are placed throughout the market to encourage one way traffic. There is an abundance of signage to remind our customers to maintain a six foot distance between them and other shoppers. All vendors have additional hand sanitizer on their tables for extra protection. While all of these efforts are in place, we do suggest if you are older, have underlying health conditions, or do not feel safe going into public places at this time, it is recommended that you stay home for now, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

For now, our sister market, The Fernandina Beach Arts Market, will remain closed. For the latest information regarding the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market, please find us on facebook.
