It is pumpkin season at the farmers’ market in downtown Fernandina Beach and Great Harvest Bread Company has some holiday only specials. They are bringing Pumpkin Pie Bars that taste just like pumpkin pie, Pumpkin Spice Brownies (a blond brownie with a spicy pumpkin taste) and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread.
Kings Kountry Produce has sweet pie pumpkins, and a huge variety of squash at their booth. The Spice Pantry has sweet potato and pumpkin mini-pies, and Bacon’s Select Produce is bringing plenty of kale. Their ripe, seedless cucumbers are being harvested on Fridays just before the market.
Wooks Beef Jerky is now offering Mushroom Jerky as an alternative to their 100% Beef Jerky for our Vegan customers at the Fernandina Beach Market Place. This mushroom jerky has been so popular it is now available in Spicy Cajun, Pepper, and Hickory flavors.
We have two additional gluten-free vendors: Something Good and Jack & Diane’s, swing by and sample some amazing snacks.
Also new this week is the Pacific Cod being added by All About U.S. Wild Salmon. They will be offering one to two pound, skin-off fillets, as well as their sockeye salmon and Alaskan scallops. Visit allabouuswildsalmon.com for more information.
Live music this week is provided by one of the Market Place’s favorite bands, The Bruce Beville Band, and the Island Chamber Singers will be on hand to tell you about their upcoming holiday performances.
