The weekend after Thanksgiving is indeed a busy weekend, but after all of that gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing and pie, you may want to plan a trip to the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers’ market. Not only will you get in a nice walk, but you also have the opportunity to pick up some fresh, seasonal produce, too!
One of our newest vendors, Something Good, brings gluten free products to the farmers market. Her seasonal specialties include gingerbread, lemon walnut, and pumpkin breads.
Percy’s Spice Pantry has introduced her pie flavors in mini-pie versions, but they have done so well, she is now offering full sized, homemade pies for only $10.00. Whether you like apple, pecan, pumpkin or a four berry pie loaded with strawberries, black berries, blue berries and raspberries, she is sure to have a pie you will love!
Poinsettias and Christmas cactus are now in stock at the Seven Trees booth, and if you want to pick up collard greens from Cabbage Creek or Boatright Farms, you’ll need to get to the Market Place early!
Open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, musical entertainment on November 29th will be provided by Bruce Beville. Open rain or shine, the Fernandina Beach Market Place is located on North Seventh Street in historic, downtown Fernandina.
