Patrick, Peterbrooks and Pirates Invade Farmers MarketIn addition to the spectacular line-up of healthy seasonal produce, hand crafted soaps, fresh baked breads, honey, plants, jerky, goat cheese, beef, flowers and other great vendors of the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers’ market, we will also be joined by Country Singer Patrick McGill, Peterbrook Chocolates, Gabriel Arnold and the local Fernandina Pirates Club at the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers’ market on June 14, 2014.

Known locally for his Evil Seed Hot Sauce booth that frequents this friendly farmer’ market, most people don’t know this co-owner, Patrick McGill, is also a talented musician. With his music getting lots of air play, not only will Evil Seed have their popular sauces in the market Saturday, but Patrick will be entertaining us with his musical talents, too. Every sauce introduced to the public from Evil Seed has to live up to the high quality standards set by their original, award winning recipe. Their popular Big Evil BBQ sauce is the perfect compliment to meatloaf, burgers, chicken, and dips with it’s sweet style and mild bacon flavor.

Local brick and mortar Business Owner Sandy Carroll will be on hand with samples of her fabulous Peterbrook chocolate covered popcorn and telling people about Chocolate Camp 2014. These Be a Chocolatier for a Day classes will be offered every Tuesday and Wednesday through July 23rd. Chocolate Camp is open to campers aged eight to adult!

Invading the farmers’ market this week is the not-for-profit organization, Fernandina Pirates Club, Inc., will be at the market to promote their upcoming membership drive. This is a great opportunity to learn about the pirates, what it is they do in the community and how you can join them.

Next door to the farmers market will be the Fernandina Beach Arts Market who set up on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. New to the market is White Hawk Farms from Yulee, Florida, where Jamie cooks up her delicious cupcakes and cookie mixes for the market, while Andy tends to their goats. A couple of our returning vendors include owner and Chef Adam Sears of Merge Restaurant, and Rose returns with her delicious Vietnamese egg rolls.

Open from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, the Fernandina Beach Market Place is open every Saturday, rain or shine, on N. 7th Street in Fernandina’s historic district.
