Pasta, Pork, Pastries and Produce

pasta-pastries-porkOur popular farmers’ market is open every Saturday on N. 7th Street, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm with over 30 true farmers market exhibitors and vendors.

You will find the seasonal produce, plants, baked pastries, and jams you’d expect to see in an open air farmers market, but the Market Place also has some unique vendors, too.

A Natural Wave Soap are homemade bath and body products featuring natural oils and fragrances. Stop by their booth and check out the March Madness 2-for-1 specials she is having all month long.

Amelia Pasta brings homemade linguini, spaghetti, orzo and more that are all natural, low fat, low carb and low sodium. These Vegan pastas are cholesterol free and contain no eggs or fillers. No sauce is required for this pasta, stop by and pick up one of their delicious free recipes.

ARS Cake Creation’s owner is always experimenting with new flavors in their handcrafted jams. Currently, Mango Pineapple Habenero is my favorite but that is likely to change by the end of the month, and his two new berry offerings are just perfect for those comforting peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Returning to the market this week are Moore Pigs and their delicious pork products, and Magnolia Hills who specialized is herbs; she will be introducing her heirloom tomatoes to the Market Place this week.

March 15, 2014 the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers’ market is featuring a special treat with the Island Chamber Singers. They will be at the market to promote their upcoming classical jazz concert on March 28 (7PM) and March 30 (3PM), featuring Dave Brubeck and George Shearing music done in classical vocal style.

The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market provides a family environment, where well-behaved pets are welcomed every Saturday of the year, except for the Saturday of the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival.
