Olive My Pickle Begins Weekly Visit to Farmers MarketOlive My Pickle, one of our most popular booths, will be coming to the farmers market every week beginning this Saturday. Their barrels of olives and pickles, and their fresh hummus and sauerkraut, are all Kosher Certified, and Non GMO Verified. Owners Shai and Charlotte Tzabari, and their two sons, are at their shop daily where the entire family pitches in to help their business grow. Shai spent seven years in the Israeli Air Force and runs a pretty tight ship according to his wife, Charlotte. The couple began farming in 2007 with just two acres offering u-pick from their field of pesticide-free, naturally grown veggies. After two years, they came to admit they weren’t really farmers and decided to sell pickles and olives in the self-serve/bulk style you see today. They made their original farmers market debut at the Fernandina Beach farmers market.

Returning this week with a huge supply of beautiful landscaping plants is Robert Young and his company, Ever Blooming Gardens. Robert’s plants take up four booth spaces at the farmers market and with spring just around the corner, this is a great time to come in and take a look. A wealth of information, Robert knows his plants and the conditions needed to help you create lush landscaping around your home or a beautiful flower garden of your own.

Sonya with Blue Planet returns on March 5th with tables full of natural and organic treats. She carries a variety of seeds like hemp, flax and sunflower. Sonya brings quinoa, nut butters, dried fruits, handmade granola, flat bread, and other delightful, and healthy “sun foods”. Blue Planet Delights comes to Fernandina Beach every other Saturday.

Musical entertainment this week is the talented Jim Barcaro. Born into a musical family, Jim enjoys playing nearly every genre of music. Interestingly arranged favorites, and his original songs, delight listeners with a smooth combination of guitar stylings and vocals that come natural to Barcaro. Once a member of local rockers, Cottonmouth, Jim has shared the stage with rock legends such as Little Feat, Molly Hatchet, Kansas, Rare Earth and more. We are thrilled he chose to settle down with his wife and children in Fernandina Beach!

The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers’ market is open every Saturday, rain or shine, with one exception. The farmers market will not be open on April 30th due to the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival.
