The Market Place is excited to announce our farmers market friend-turned-vendor, Nathalie Wu. Nathalie has been a weekly customer of the market for several years and she now joins us on the first and third Saturdays of the month with her booth, My Fortune Rocks.
She sells hand-painted rocks with fortunes, or words of wisdom, painted on to them in both Chinese and English; she also sells adorable succulent terrariums and planters.
Another new vendor in the farmers market is Kyle and Mikenzie Lee of Lemon Sensations. They make tall, refreshing glasses of ice-cold lemonade, or strawberry lemonade, fresh while you wait.
Rose is returning this week with her Unbelieveable Egg Rolls. Rose uses an authentic Vietnamese recipe and is one of the market’s most popular vendors. After taking some extra time off for the summer, she has returned to her regular schedule of two visits per month now that the weather has cooled.
Also in the market this week are Jay’s Marketplace, selling chopped olive salad; Something Good and their gluten-free breads and desserts; Amelia Pasta, and Sonia with Gaia’s Garden who brings a variety of organic nut butters, dried fruits, and flavored seeds.
The Market Place welcomes back the return of Bruce Beville and the Laid Back Band, who play family, toe-tapping favorites that set the perfect ambiance for a morning stroll with neighbors and friends through this outdoor market.
The weekly Booth with a Cause features the Amelia Island Book Festival, a not for profit 501(c)3 corporation seeking to open up the world through books. Stop by their booth to learn more about their mission to promote an appreciation of books, their February Festival, and other upcoming events that feature local, regional, and world-renowned authors.
The farmers market is located on North Seventh Street, between Alachua and Centre Streets, in historic Fernandina Beach. Open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., this is a rain or shine market that is open every Saturday of the year.
