The Fernandina Beach farmers’ market always has delightful treats year ’round, and holidays like the Memorial Day weekend are no exceptions for the Market Place. Tempt your family and guests with traditional pies from Karen Miller, our featured vendor of the week. Karen uses nearly two quarts of filling in each traditional, family sized pie. Smaller pies are available for only $5.00. Her sweet potato pie is so light and creamy you will be wondering why she doesn’t charge more money! (Seriously!)
Olive My Pickle returns with barrels full of their fresh olives and pickles, Rose returns with An Un-Believable Egg Rolls and Gabriel Arnold entertains with the soothing sounds of the saxophone.
All of this in addition to the weekly treats brought to us by chefs of local restaurants who prepare cookies, cheese spreads, cajun delights and more. We have family owned farms, neighboring our community, who are working seven days a week in order to bring you fresh vegetables, fruits and cut flowers. You will impressed by our bakers, the early risers of the market, and the artisan breads and sweet breakfast treats they create, and then there are also those talented artists who hand craft soy candles and organic soaps.
You must see this market for yourself! The Fernandina Beach Market Place is located on N. 7th Street, where the fernandina farmers’ market has been located for years. We are open each Saturday, rain or shine, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, and our now pet friendly, too.
