It is Pumpkin Season at the Farmers Market

It’s pumpkin season and the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market has plenty of vendors specializing in pumpkin flavors. Open October 13, 2018, this will be a great Saturday to check out pumpkin chocolate chip muffins from Great Harvest Bread Company, or pumpkin pound cake from Rudy’s Bakery. Boatright Farms is growing a variety of pumpkins this year, and Kings Kountry Farms has pie pumpkins, decorative pumpkins and gourds. Bite Sized Confections is bringing pumpkin baby cakes, mini-cupcakes, with butter cream cheese frosting for the holiday season, and Lady Bug Gourmet Foods brings pumpkin butter all year long. Seasonally produced pumpkin pie soap, room and body spray and a pumpkin face mask will be available from Element Earth Works, and Tea Nation will have pumpkin pie tea flavored with pumpkin spice, vanilla and cinnamon. Even African Love Kitchen is getting into the season with pumpkin pie sambusa. Finally, don’t forget your best friend. Bark-N-Bake will have pumpkin spice cookies and pumpkin spice cream puffs for your four legged friends.

We are welcoming back our semi-monthly vendor, Me, Myself and Pies. With delicious meat pies, traditional fruit pies and quiches, John and Carol create full sized and mini pies that have an incredibly tasty crust… and they have an amazing pumpkin pie. With the holidays rapidly approaching, be sure to ask them about their “Pop Up Pie Shop” and deadlines for delivery.

The Fernandina Beach Arts Market is returning this week with a full house of fine jewelry, wood working, hand sewn apparel, unique lighting, coconut oil candles, paintings, and more.

This week our Booth With a Cause is the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization (TPO). They are the independent regional transportation planning agency for Duval, Clay, Nassau and St. Johns counties and will be on-site to get your opinion regarding priorities to our community’s roadways.

Both markets are located in historic, downtown Fernandina Beach, on North Seventh Street and are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine.
