Holiday magic can be found around every booth at the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market. With dozens of local farmers, producers, and ranchers you will find an abundance of seasonal produce such as salad greens, kale, cucumbers, pecans, strawberries, squash and pumpkins. Seafarers will bring wild-caught shrimp, Alaskan salmon, and scallops. Bakeries will bring breads and pies so fresh they are practically still warm. You can sample dips, spreads, sauces, jellies, and jams, and there are several plant vendors offering Christmas cactus, poinsettias, blooming baskets, and landscaping plants. This great event brings the community and local producers together for a festival every Saturday full of local treats and seasonal harvests.
In addition to the farmers market, the Fernandina Beach Arts Market will be open every Saturday through the end of the year. This craft show, located adjacent to the farmers market, has nearly 30 booths of handcrafted gifts created by local artisans. You will find recycled products, pottery, fine and whimsical jewelry, glass work, photography, iron works, woodworking and so much more.
We are delighted to announce that Jennifer Burns Staples, featured in Crescendo Amelia’s full theatre production of “How the Big Band Stole Christmas,” will be providing our musical entertainment on December 8, 2018.
The Fernandina Beach Market Place is located in historic Fernandina Beach, on North Seventh Street, and is open every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine. Your well behaved, leashed pets are welcome, too. For more information, both markets can be found on facebook.
