Fill Your Easter Basket at the Farmers Market
Larry Lemeir at Fernandina’s farmers’ market
This is the last Saturday before Easter and the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market is a great place to find wonderful items to fill your Easter basket!

If you are looking for a delectable dessert to celebrate Easter in a large gathering or a small family dinner, Me, Myself and Pies offer a variety of sweet and savory pies ranging from quiche to Coconut Cream and Lemon Meringue.

Flowers, plants, succulents, trees and bushes abound at the Market Place with Seven Trees bringing starter vegetable plants, colorful geraniums and hydrangeas, and beautiful hanging baskets. Robert and Ever Blooming Gardens has returned to the farmers market and he will be bringing over 600 landscaping plants and tropicals for you to select your favorite.

Bottega by Liz Grenamyer, a catering company selling prepared meals every Saturday at the Market Place will have delicious specialty items such as Deviled Eggs, Seafood Imperial, Asparagus with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce, Coconut Cupcakes and Easter Egg Cookies.

Chesser Seafood will sell out of their local, wild caught shrimp, so come early or call Debbie or Eddie ahead of time at (904) 509-3337 and they will hold your shrimp for you if you’d rather sleep in on Saturday.

There will be plenty of sweets to satisfy any Easter craving with tasty treats from Topsy Toffee, Maria’s Bakery, Shepperd’s Farm, Nana Teresa’s Bakery, and Something Good offers gluten free sweet breads, too.

Returning this week are Olive My Pickle, An Unbelievable Egg Roll, Bahamian Bird Pepper sauces from B & D Sauce Company, and Jaxma Orchids.

Join your favorite vendors on North Seventh Street in historic Fernandina Beach, while listening to the fabulous sounds of Larry Lemeir and the Backtracks. Larry plays something for everyone include covers of Eric Clapton, The Beatles, CCR, Bob Seger, Santana, the Allman Brothers and more. Set to his own backing tracks, you’ll feel you are listening to a full band.

Adjacent to the farmers market this week is the Fernandina Beach Arts Market where nearly 30 artists and craft vendors share their talents in furniture, jewelry, apparel, glass, seashell art, pottery and more. This is a great place to meet the artists and learn what inspires them.

Both markets are a great place to spend a little of your Saturday morning meeting up with friends and neighbors, and if you have company visiting that you need to entertain? No problem, bring ’em on down. Your well behaved, leashed pets are also welcome.

We are open RAIN or SHINE!!!
