The original, Fernandina Beach farmers’ market, located on N. 7th Street is having a birthday party and YOU are invited! We find it hard to believe it has been one year since the Fernandina Beach Market Place gave birth to this lively street of vendors and exhibitors that sat abandoned Labor Day weekend 2012. Join us as we don hats, streamers and balloons to celebrate the farmers market birthday! (No birthday suits, please!)
We have several new vendors in the Market Place as well as the seasonal return of others, so expect a lively atmosphere full of new faces! Music will be provided by a variety of local musicians, including many who have entertained you this past year. This time you are being encouraged to sing along, bring your own instrument, or use one of ours while you sit-in with our “Jam Circle”.
Bring your beach or folding chair so you can take a break between temptations like those Aniko’s sweet baked Hungarian Treats and Karen’s delicious pies. Sonia and Blue Planet have returned to N. 7th Street and are once again bringing organic snacks, energy bars, nuts and granola to historic Fernandina Beach.
Come meet Michael Raynor. A family owned and operated business, the Raynor family brings a Taste of St. Augustine to Fernandina Beach every Saturday with their signature sauce made from a 40 year old recipe, created by Michael’s dad, the “Sweet Heat” BBQ Sauce. You will also find Seville Orange Bar-B-Que Sauce, and their Original Datil Pepper Hot Sauce, too.
The first Saturday in September marks the return of the Georgia Florida Blood Alliance to the farmers market and you’ll find the blood bus parked near Alachua Street for your timely donation to help save lives.
We are honored to have Community Hospice as our featured non-profit. Hospice care is designed to help you and your loved ones focus on comfort and quality of life… to live each day as fully as possible. They will be on hand to provide you with more information and help you find answers to any questions you may have.
The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers’ market is open every Saturday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine.
