The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market will be open Saturday , February 6, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine.

Meet the farmers who harvest the seasonal produce that you put on your table. Ask Al and Anna Boatright, Boatright Farms, about their yellow squash. Do you like strawberries? Ask Tommy King, Kings Kountry Produce, about his farm’s strawberries. Freddie, with Bacon’s Select Produce, grows hydroponic lettuce, European seedless cucumbers, and kale; he loves to talk about his greenhouses. Natalie, with Gypsy Microgreens, loves to explain how her microgreens contain more vitamins and minerals than their full-sized counterparts. Our farmers love to talk about their produce.

We also have fishermen such as Eddie with Chesser Seafood. His boat, The Brat, runs out of Mayport and they haul-in wild caught shrimp. They have also had the Royal Reds for sale at the farmers market recently. Upstream Seafood has salmon filets, salmon burgers, smoked salmon dip, and large scallops that are fabulous, he even tells you how to cook them.

Join us Saturday as these and other vendors that bring honey, plants, orchids, soaps, candles, baked goods – vegan and gluten free, egg rolls, syrup, toffee, sauces, dips, and so much more.

This week’s Booth With a Cause is Keep Nassau Beautiful. Stop by their booth and learn how to reduce litter and waste, increase recycling, beautify spaces, and remove invasive plant species. Edibles magazine will have a booth with their recent and past publications, and of course our sponsor All American Gutter Protection.

The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market is located on North Seventh Street, between Alachua and Centre Streets in historic downtown.
