North 7th Street in Fernandina Beach sports a picturesque canopy of budding oaks and Spanish moss. You will find nearly 40 booths of organic, homemade and natural products… and tons of fresh produce! Our friendly farmers’ market feels more like a family reunion with familiar faces, the spirit of community and delicious foods.
One vendor we’d like to highlight this week is Natural Springs, a small, family owned dairy farm. They bring farmstead cheese in popular flavors like gouda, white cheddar, black pepper and their biggest seller: jalapeno cheddar. Raw milk sold as pet food and raw whey are also available.
Evil Seed Sauce Company is growing a huge Amelia Island fan base with their delightfully evil products. They use Datil peppers from St. Augustine in many of their products. Be careful, a little goes a long way so it doesn’t take much to spice just about anything you are cooking! If you are crazy enough to try it, come to the market and taste a sample of their Asylum Hot Sauce!
This will be Karen Miller’s 2nd Saturday at the Market Place and she will have Apple pies and Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Pies. They are $20.00, plus a $5 deposit on the glass pie dish. If you want to order a special fruit pie or have us save you one at the Market Place, call Karen at (904) 614-7279.
There will be live music on February 16, 2013 and CLUB 14 FITNESS will be the featured Business of the Week with BodyFlow, Zumba Fitness and BodyCombat demonstrations.
As a special treat, the Seventh Street Gallery will be open during Market Place hours featuring two CoRK Arts District Artists Helen Cowart and Joanelle Mulrain.
We hope to see you there!
