October 15, 2016, brings the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market back to Amelia Island, and because we had to cancel both the farmers market and the arts market last Saturday due to Hurricane Matthew, this Saturday there will be a special “make up” edition of the Fernandina Beach Arts Market.
Never a dull place, Saturday morning will be alive with activity with the farmers market, the arts market, and the Amelia Cruizers 20th Annual 8-Flags Car Show.
This week we are showing off a couple of new vendors. One new booth you will see is local restaurant, The Patio Place. Stop and visit Amy and her crew while they serve up crepes this week as well as on October 29th. Another new vendor, Bluegrass to Sawgrass Gourmet Foods, specializes in beautifully packaged pecans that are glazed in a variety of amazing, handcrafted flavors. We encourage you to show them both a friendly Fernandina welcome!
In addition to these new vendors, this week there will be over 60 tents full of amazing vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood, dips, prepared dishes, olives, pickles, plants, trees, shrubs, rice, breads, pastries, jewelry, pottery, paintings, woodworking, apparel, home decor, furniture and so much more.
We are open rain or shine, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and your well behaved leashed pets are welcome. Music will be provided by the talented Spanish guitarist Dennis Fermin, and our Booth with a Cause will be The Ben Byrns Foundation. They will be sharing information about their annual 5K Runway Rally coming to the Fernandina Beach Airport on October 22, 2016, and you can learn more about their mission to educate and guide young adults to make good choices in their lives.
