Amelia Island, Florida is home to the Fernandina Beach Market Place, a farmers’ market located on N. 7th Street each Saturday morning. We invite you to stop by and do a little shopping under a picturesque canopy of thick oaks in the historic, Victorian seaport of Fernandina Beach.
The Market Place will be open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on April 20, 2013, with nearly 40 booths of seasonal produce, fresh baked breads, organic meats, farmstead cheeses, jams, jellies and so much more.
Spring is exceptional on Amelia Island and when Terri Guillemets wrote, “The front door to springtime is a photograhers best friend,” she must have been visiting her own local farmers’ market. Each week, more and more shoppers are bringing their cameras as well as their shopping bags, to do their open air shopping.
The Market Place feels like a reunion of family, friends and neighbors. Larry LeMier will delight us with his musical talent, and the Boy Scouts are our featured non-profit.
Across Center Street you are invited to enjoy two photographers in one fantastic art show at the Seventh Street Gallery, featuring Artists William Birdsong and Jim Ekstrom.
To learn more about YOUR local farmers’ market, please find us on facebook or call (904) 557-8229.
The Market Place is open every Saturday, rain or shine. Because of the Shrimp Festival Parade, we will be extending our hours on April 27, 2013 to 4:00 PM. We will be closed on May 4, 2013, due to the Isle of Eight flags Shrimp Festival.
