2014 Florida Agriculture Youth Coloring CompetitionTallahassee, Florida – The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services encourages students in kindergarten through fifth grade to participate in the annual Florida Agriculture Youth Coloring Competition, sponsored by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Agriculture in the Classroom, Inc., and the Florida State Fair.

This year’s coloring page features students showcasing their agricultural projects at the Florida State Fair and emphasizes the importance of agricultural education in our schools and communities. The coloring page comes from the 2014 Agriculture Literacy Day book entitled “Florida Farms at School” and promotes student involvement in the industry.

The coloring contest is divided into three categories; kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade, and fourth and fifth grade. An overall winner will be selected in each category and will receive a family pack of tickets to the Florida State Fair. All three category winners, along with other participants’ coloring pages, will be on display in the Youth Art Center at the State Fair.
