valentines treats from Nana Teresa'sThe farmers market in Fernandina Beach will be open on Saturday, February 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day, and what better place to find ingredients for a romantic dinner or “Sweets for Your Sweet”?

Start off this romantic holiday with wild caught shrimp from Chesser Seafood, they will even take the heads off for free. Serve it up cocktail style as a peel-and-eat appetizer, or go straight to the main course by serving it over lemon linguine from Amelia Pasta’s booth.

In the mood for a hearty steak dinner? You cannot go wrong with a nice cut of hormone-free, steroid-free, antibiotic-free steak from J.D. Beef. Considering a Surf-N-Turf? Pair it up with sockeye salmon, Berin Sea cod, or weather-vane scallops from Upstream Wild Alaskan Seafood.

Tucker’s Toffee returns this week with his homemade specialty toffee. Tucker makes his toffee in small batches from his own mother’s recipe book. Flavors include semi-sweet chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate.

What romantic venture would be complete without King’s Kountry Produce’s seasonal strawberries? These delicious red beauties are grown practically year ’round on Tommy’s family farm in Starke, Florida.

Nana Teresa’s Bake Shop, a quaint bakery located in historic Fernandina Beach, will be bringing perfect Valentine’s desserts like heart shaped French macaroons, old-fashioned caramel cupcakes, and tasty eclairs to the farmers market on Saturday.
