March 28, 2015 at the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers’ market will see a change in the seasonal produce coming from our local farmers.
Expect to find green and purple cauliflowers, patty pan squash, and zucchini from King’s Kountry Produce. Early yellow squash and Vidalia onions will be found in the Boatright Farms booth, and Cabbage Creek Farms will have your seasonal salad mix and fresh radish. Bacons Select Produce has butter head lettuce in green, and now the heartier red variety, too.
Periogi Hut will not be at the Market Place Easter weekend, and possible most of April, so if you want one of her delicious Polish treats, get them this Saturday.
Chesser Seafood continues to bring local pink, and those tasty red, shrimp to the farmers’ market, and as available they will have crab legs and fish, too.
Rose’ Unbelievable Egg Rolls returns to the Market Place this week, as well as Olive My Pickle and their popular “Kids Pickle Club.”
The Fernandina Beach Arts Market is also open this Saturday, located adjacent to the farmers market, and we’d like to invite you to join us for some family friendly shopping in historic Fernandina Beach.
Music will be provided by the talented Larry LeMier. Larry has been playing the guitar since he was 13 years old and plays blues, classic and Southern rock, with a bit of R&B thrown in the mix, too. Singing and strumming to his own backtracks, you’ll think you’re listening to a 4-piece band!
The farmers’ market is located on North Seventh Street on Amelia Island. Open from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, many have said this is the friendliest farmers’ market in Florida. For our most recent updates, please “like” us on facebook.
