The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 2, 2019, on North Seventh Street, in historic Fernandina Beach. Returning this week is Steephill Design and their maple syrup fresh from their Vermont Farm, but that is not all they have. They also carry maple candy and maple sugar. And don’t forget to bring your empty bottles back to recieve $1.00 off of your next purchase. Jay’s Marketplace and their chopped olive salad is back this week as well as Bark-N-Bake dog treats, Lizzie’s Cheese Straws, and Fulford Garden’s beeswax food wraps.
You’ve been missing it, and I’ve been assured; JD Beef will have their farm fresh pork back in stock this Saturday, as well as all of their beef selections. And they now have gift cards available, too.
King’s Kountry Produce is bringing some wonderful winter Florida favorites such as the popular strawberries Tommy King grows in Starke. They also have beets and broccoli, and cheddar, traditional, and purple cauliflowers – they taste the same and are great conversation starters for your special dinner guests. Other items currently being harvested, and a dieter’s favorite, are their mustard and collard greens, and Brussel sprouts.
Lady Bug Gourmet’s Michelle and Michael have made cute little keepsakes for the children. For the next two weeks, or while they last, they will be giving away free, pom-pom lady bugs.
Our Booth with a Cause will be Slow Growth Food Movement. They strive to celebrate the amazing bounty of food that is available in our region, and strengthen the connection between the food on our plates and the health of our planet by raising public awareness, improving access and encouraging the enjoyment of foods that are local, seasonal and sustainably grown.
Get the bathtub you’ve always wanted without the headaches and hassles of a traditional renovation. Bath Fitter is one of the farmers market sponsors this week and you can learn more at their booth this Saturday.
Our music will be provided by the talented Dylan Bailey. We are a rain or shine farmers market, open every day of the year. Please, if you bring your pets, make sure they are well-behaved and kept on a short leash.
