Decorative and edible corns and squash are coming in, as well as the tasty, traditional treats we crave when the weather gets cooler.
Seasonal favorites are abundant at Boatright Farms and King’s Kountry produce booths. The hues of autumn are found in Cabbage Creek Farm’s fresh cut flower bouquets, and Seven Trees colorful chrysanthamums are beautiful in the yard, as a centerpiece on your table and they make great gifts, too.
Crab Cakes from Lulu’s at the Thompson House are a quick and delightful dinner option when you need something simple and soothing to prepare, and cooking up Amelia Pasta’s sweet potato noodles will have your home smelling like fall.
Half-time during footballs games is a great time to whip out a warm and tasty dip made with the artichoke salad found at Joy of Garlic, a smoked salmon dip from All About U.S. Wild Salmon, or a big bowl of peel-and-eat shrimp from Chesser’s Seafood.

The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market is open rain or shine, every Saturday, and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm you’ll find over 30 booths of vendors who create, farm, or produce their specialties. The farmers market is located on North Seventh Street, between Centre and Alachua Streets in historic, downtown Fernandina Beach.
This week we are joined by the Fernandina Beach Arts Market, open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.
