The Fernandina Beach Arts Market and the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market will be open on June 23, 2018, rain or shine. With nearly 75 booths, there is no doubt a trip to historic Fernandina Beach will help you find just what you are looking for, whether for yourself or a gift. Located on North Seventh Street, both markets are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
On the art side of the market, look for Mike and his creative and colorful bird houses. Hand crafted, Mike paints the birdhouses in vibrant colors and even has a few birds to match. Don’t miss his larger houses, too. Jerry and Billie are returning with Stained Glass Creation. This couple makes a wide variety of stained glass, hanging art. They specialize in patriotic and military pieces, all at affordable prices. Gail with Reverse Glass will be on hand displaying her steins, wine glasses, and other stemware with hand painted birds and fish. The designs are seen not only from looking at the outside of the glass, but the design is also visible from the inside when you are taking a sip.
The farmers market will have nearly 50 tents of fresh baked breads, seasonal produce, foot aromatherapy, massage and soy candles, fresh and wild caught shrimp, salmon, beef, hot sauce, chopped olive salad, lemonade, dog treats and more.
Music will be provided by Alain Lelait, and our Booth with a Cause will be representatives from Fort Clinch State Park and the Friends of Fort Clinch providing information about the park and its recreational opportunities exploring Florida’s natural and cultural resources. Stop by and learn how to become a Friend of Fort Clinch, adopt a sea turtle nest or attend an educational program at the park.
