Egg-cited for Easter?

Egg-cited for Easter? Egg-cited for Easter? For Peep’s sake, hop on downtown to the Fernandina Beach farmers’ market this Saturday morning, March 30, 2013, where you will easily find egg-straordinary bunny treats to create your own basket full of goodies.

The Fernandina Beach Market Place is truly blessed with vendors who bring delicious produce from their fields, citrus from the finest blossoms in the groves, nature’s sweet nector from the honey bee and fresh breads baked to be shared among family and friends.

Fill your basket with handcrafted soaps, body oils, scrubs and naturally scented candles. Succulents from Seven Trees make a wonderful gift, especially a seasonal Easter cactus.

ARS Cake Creations creates amazing blends of hot and sweet jellies that are simply to dye for, and what would be better for Easter dessert than two quarts of fruit filling baked with love into one of Karen’s homemade pies?

Here is a neat fact you may not know: ARS Cake Creations, Karen’s Pies, Joy of Garlic, King’s Kountry Produce and a few other Market Place vendors will give you a discount when you bring back those glass jars and pie plates. That’s right – your local farmers market encourages you to re-cycle, re-duce and re-use!!!

Gabriel Arnold will be blowing up the saxophone, and next door, beginning at 10:00 AM, on N. 6th Street, there is a FREE community Easter Celebration hosted by both the First Presbyterian and Memorial United Methodist Churches. They are inviting our entire community, so tell your friends and neighbors to load up the kids and head downtown!

Many fun activities are planned including a bounce house, photos with the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts and free food!

FREE parking and shuttle rides will be provided for everyone heading downtown! Park in front of the Nassau County School Board Offices, across from Central Park on Atlantic Avenue, to catch the shuttle!

…and if you missed us last week, this is your last opportunity of the season to stock up on Doug’s Wild Alaska Salmon!!!
