The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market, A/K/A the Amelia Island Market Place, will be open August 30, 2014, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Located on N. 7th Street in historic, downtown Fernandina Beach, the farmers’ market brings a wide variety of fresh and delicious produce, plants, soaps, sauces, breads, honey, spreads and more to our lovely, seaside community.
Returning this week is Evil Seed Sauce Company. Karen and Patrick bring their award winning Big Evil BBQ, a sweet sauce with a hint of bacon that compliments chicken, burgers, and meatloaf. Their all time best selling hot sauce, Asylum – Crazy Hot Sauce, is back, too. This thick and creamy sauce is a blend of five peppers and perfect for wings, eggs and pizza.
This is the last time Chef Adam Sears, of Merge Restaurant, will be at the farmers’ market for awhile, as he is moving up the food chain further strengthening his career and reputation as an amazing expert in the culinary arts. This will be your last opportunity to stock up on his sausage and shrimp burgers. We hope you swing by and wish him well!
Sonya’s Blue Planet is back with her organic treats including quinoa, granolas and nut butters. She is an every-other-week vendor, and the Saturday mornings she is not in Fernandina Beach, shoppers truly notice her absence.
Music this week will be the sweet vocal talents of Melissa Rangel.
The Market Place farmers market is open every Saturday, rain or shine. Stop by for a visit on N. 7th Street, between Centre and Alachua Streets on Amelia Island, Florida. This is a family-friendly event and even your well behaved, leashed pets are welcome, too.
