April Showers Bring Farmers Market Goodies

The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market will be open April 14, 2018, with over 30 food, producers and natural product booths and another 25 booths of arts and crafts.

One of the newest vendors includes Tellus Handmade Soap. They offer a large selection of natural body products and say, “Quality matters, in general 30% of what you put onto your body is absorbed into the lower dermis of your skin, and 8 – 10% reaches your blood stream. Each soap has its own unique recipe that is formulated for a variety of common skin types.”

Caden’s Coin Jewelry returns this week, too. Caden is a delightful young man who takes coins and turns them into one of kind pieces of jewelry. You can get a coin ring made from quarters and 50 cent pieces. He also has spoon rings and other metal jewelry.

April 14th will see the return of the Lemon Sensations lemonade stand. Come meet these teenagers that offer ice cold thirst quenchers featuring tall, 32 ounces of strawberry or traditional fresh squeezed lemonades for only $5.00 each.

All American Gutter is our Market Place sponsor this week. Check out their booth with a functioning display of how their gutter system can save you from ever having to clean your gutters again.

Representatives from FSCJ will have a booth to answer your questions and share information about their annual open house event, scheduled for April 19th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. wher you can learn about their programs in nursing, business, cardiovascular technology, information technology and dual enrollment. The event is free and open to the public.

Music this week is provided by Jeff Tucker. Although he lives in Ohio, Jeff travels through the Southeast playing country clubs and resorts like the Ritz Carlton and Julington Creek Plantation, and we are thrilled to host him in the farmers market once again this year.

The Market Place is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday, except the first Saturday in May – which is the Shrimp Festival. Come on out this Saturday and join friendly vendors, great music, and unbelievably good food.
