It is April Fools Day at the farmers market on North Seventh Street in historic, Fernandina Beach, but you won’t be fooled by our vendors because they offer fabulous foods, flowers, breads, shrimp, plants, soaps, beef and pork, lotions, olive oil, and other natural and hand crafted products every Saturday of the year (except May 6, 2017).

Whether you are looking for gluten-free breads, home-made nut butters, or farm fresh dairy products, you will find plenty of surprises this April Fool’s Day at the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market.

Cross Creek Honey has been busy harvesting fresh honey and stocking up on your favorite flavors like orange blossom, Tupelo, and their best seller, gall berry. Stop by for a sample and check out their new honey candle designs as well as their wonderful variety of honey soaps.

You are encourage to join us as we welcome our two newest vendors. Julie Delf of Amelia Island Tropical and Jeremiah White with Boiled Peanuts and More. Julie sells tropical flowers by the stem, or by the arrangement, and uses unique flowers such as birds of paradise, ginger, orchids and anthodium’s. Jeremiah serves up boiled peanuts in his popular spicy flavor, or perhaps you would be more interested in trying his new garlic blend.

Florida State College at Jacksonville will be on hand to tell you about their locally held adult education courses and music this week is provided by local Musician Jacob Taylor. At 11:45 a.m., the Royal Amelia Dance Academy will be entertaining guests of the Market Place with a special performance. Under the direction of Alexandra Carroll, the academy has impressive instructors and an amazing reputation.

Please join us on April 1, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine, at the “Friendliest Farmers Market in Florida”.
