The 2014 Amelia Island Restaurant Week kicks off Thursday, January 16 at Café 4750 at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island when Amelia Island chefs and farmers gather at The Ritz-Carlton to prepare a celebratory Farm-to-Table Feast orchestrated and directed by Executive Chef Thomas Tolxdorf.
Chef Thomas, a true pioneer in the movement to offer fresh organic cuisine, is also a weekly visitor to Fernandina Beach’s Saturday morning farmers’ market, and he has paired local Chefs/Owners of Amelia Island restaurants with farmers from our Market Place to officially kick off the 2014 Amelia Island Restaurant Week.
Each of the chefs will prepare a tasting in Café 4750. The evening begins with a 6:00 p.m. wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres, and a 6:45 p.m. dinner seating.
